Noah and his wife Kathi met at Colorado State University (CSU), both being involved in Campus Crusade for Christ. After graduation (Physical Ed. for Noah, Hearing and Speech Science for Kathi) they married and have celebrated 41 years together, having five grown children and four grandchildren. Thirty-three of those years they have served three EFCs in Taylorville, IL., North Platte, NE., and Hartland, WI. Both Noah and Kathi enjoy traveling and hiking. Kathi's main joy in ministry is sharing with and seeking to encourage other moms (often over a cup of coffee!). Noah received his ThM from Dallas Theological Seminary and a DMin from TEDS. His football background at CSU and his major in PE continue to make physical health an important goal. But his great desire in his role as DS is the spiritual health of pastors, leaders and churches in the Midwest District. He also has a heart for missions, having served with the ReachGlobal Board and leading several mission trips abroad. Recently Proverbs 4:18 has been "pushing" his thinking and actions, "But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, that shines brighter and brighter until the full day." His passion for self and others is to keep walking that challenging path, reflecting more and more the light of Jesus.

I moved to Wichita KS from Juarez, Mexico in October 2000, my father Flavio Gonzalez was going to plant Genesis EFC, the church I am now pastoring. Soon after the move I met Holly Hesselbarth, we were married October 2002. God has shaped and blessed our lives. We have 4 kids and enjoy working together in ministry. Throughout my live in the United States I've served our church, the MWD, and the EFCA National Office volunteering in different positions. Recently I had the opportunity to be on staff at the District, and I feel blessed. God brought me to this great country, and has raised me as his servant in the MWD. I love our denomination and will continue doing my best to support and help it. I will continue ministering and winning souls until I can't do it any longer, God called me to touch lives with the gospel of Jesus Christ and that's what I will do until the Lord calls me home. My commitment to continue ministering is resolute.

In July of 2010, Lige came on staff as Associate Pastor in charge of Youth Ministries at the Minden Free Church. Before this first pastoral position, he worked in various trades from a construction worker to the Vice President of a local manufacturing company. While in those varied careers, Lige could be found assisting and leading youth through the local Fellowship of Christian Athletes huddle. Time spent in that ministry sparked his desire to work with students full time. Lige loves to help students see and understand what it means to be a true follower of Jesus Christ. He has been married to the love of his youth, Dusty, for ten years and together they have five beautiful children ranging in age from 1 to ten years old.
